Inside the Garden — 2024
The 13 episodes that taught us how to wait for the moment.
We pitched Inside the Garden to Channel 31 in 2023 — a documentary about Melbourne kitchens. They commissioned thirteen episodes. The first three we cut the way brand films get cut. The last ten we stopped.
By episode four we'd worked out that the moment which reads true on camera is not the moment you planned. The brand work we ship now — Garden State, La Calabrese, Crab89, Booran Motors, First Aid Finance — is downstream of those ten episodes.
The team

Philosophy
Production-led. Not deck-led.
Most agencies that run your ads have never shot a frame. Most studios that shoot your ads have never run a campaign. We do both, under one retainer, because the room you shoot on Wednesday and the lead you didn't text back on Friday are the same problem.
The deck doesn't drive the shoot. The room does. We shoot until there's a story, then cut. That's documentary realism in plain English.
